The region:

Torres Vedras, city located in the heart of the west region, 30 km from Lisbon (A8 highway),  80 km from Leiria ( A8 highway ) and 10 km from the coast.
Torres Vedras is inserted in an important industry and comerce area, once it has easy access ways to all the regions in the country and its close to the major district capital cities.
This city has several churches and old monuments, and also Termas dos cucos.
In this region, a tourist can walk through the fields and whatch the wind mills and the fine grapes, and also, the beautiful beaches on the region. Santa Cruz is the main one, followed by  Ericeira (south) and Peniche (north). 
You can stil enjoy the pleasure of a horse ride and the golf fields that exist in the region.
